Day 11
Today I'm in: Bangkok, Thailand
Today was mostly spent in transit... not much to write about. I had a lazy morning on the beach, grabbed some lunch in a cafe on the main road in Pantai Cenang, and headed to the airport around 1pm. The flight left for Kuala Lumpur on time, and we got a nice view of downtown KL, including the Petronas Towers, on our way into the airport.
I changed planes and flew up to Bangkok, where we landed right after the sun went down. The airport was a madhouse - flights coming in from all over Asia and Australia meant the lines at immigration were long. Eventually I made it through and caught a shuttle to my hotel. Since I'm flying to Chiang Mai tomorrow morning and I've been to Bangkok before, I decided to stay near the airport. My hotel is small and it's on a back street behind a bunch of small market stalls and shops. I ate dinner on the plane, but I took a quick walk through the neighborhood and picked up some authentic Thai food (right) for a snack.
I'm sorry I don't have more to write about, but today was pretty quiet and spent mostly in airports and on planes. I'm looking forward to Chiang Mai tomorrow.
